Cold autumn dew forming on chrysanthemum petals late in autumn. Cold Dew is a period of late autumn, which hints at winter’s chill. Cold Dew falls on early November. As the name implies, the morning dew becomes colder and colder, and grows thick as it condenses. This piece is inspired by these thick dewdrops of late autumn, falling into a web-like pattern. The embedded diamonds turn this piece into a stellar array of crystal dewdrops, adorning the neck of the wearer with the glamorous autumn and a layer of cool beauty. The droplets slide downward to form a chain, as if they were tears dripping from the face of a lover. In the words of the Song Dynasty poet Qin Guan, “If love between two hearts shall last forever, what need they cleave to one another each day and night?” It is a work of longing, of deep connection and strong love.
